craving some l.a. candy

Am I still one of the nominees for the World's Worst Blogger Award? I DON'T THINK SO! So today I decided that maybe it'd be fun if I showed you my favorite book serie, the L.A. Candy novels written by Lauren Conrad. Last year I got the first three novels for my birthday from my grandparents and since then I've read them over and over again. This year I got the first novel of the L.A. Candy spin-off trilogy, The Fame Game, from my parents (also for my birthday!) and it made me love the books even more. The storyline is just so good!

The three L.A. Candy novels: L.A. Candy, Sweet Little Lies and Sugar and Spice

L.A. Candy, the very first novel of Lauren Conrad. I accidentaly forgot to take pictures of the back covers of the books so I'll just type them out, haha.
''Los Angeles is all about the sweet life: hot clubs, cute guys, designer... everything. Nineteen-year-old Jane Roberts and her BFF Scarlett can't wait to start living it up. And when a TV producer wants them to star in his new series, a ''reality version of Sex and the City, they can hardly believe their luck. Their own show? Free designer clothes? Access to L.A.'s most famous exclusive clubs? Invites to Hollywood premieres? Yes, please! Soon Jane is televion's hottest star and she's lapping up the VIP treatment with her eclectic entourage of new pals. But those same friends who are always up for a wild night out are also angling for a piece of her spotlight. In a city filled with people chasing their dreams, it's not long before Jane realizes that everyone wants something from her and nothing is what it seems to be.''

Sweet Little Lies, the second novel of the L.A. Candy trilogy.
''Jane Roberts was the average girl next door until she and her best friend, Scarlett Harp, landed their own reality show, L.A. Candy. But life on camera is getting complicated.. When racy photo's of Jane are leaked to the press, she becomes the center of a tabloid scandal. She turns to her coastar Madison Parker for help, but does Madison really have Jane's back? Scarlett's working on a scandal of her own. She's fallen for someone who's strictly off-limits which means Scarlett has a big secret to keep.. Of course, nothing stays secret for long in Hollywood. All this drama is great for ratings, but can Jane and Scarlett survive another season in the spotlight?''

The third novel, Sugar and Spice.
''Fresh from being betrayed by one of her closest friends, new reality-television celebrity Jane Roberts has learned a few lessons. Most important: know who to trust. And in Hollywood, that list is so short. Determined to get control of her life, Jane swears off boys and all the trouble they bring. But when high school sweetheart Caleb and unrequited L.A. crush Braden show up, both looking cuter and acting sweeter than ever, Jane has a hard time remembering her no-boys rule.. And for the first time Jane's best friend, Scarlett, has only one guy on her mind: her new boyfriend, Liam. But being a hit on reality show means hanging out with other guys on-camera, and Liam isn't too happy with pretending to play a bit part in a her love life. Just when everything feels out of control, Jane makes a shocking discovery that changes everyone's definition of reality forever.''

The Fame Game, the first novel of the L.A. Candy spin-off trilogy and this time it's all about Madison Parker a.k.a. ''the bad and very, very fake girl''.
''Nineteen-year-old Madison Parker made a name for herself as best frenemy of nice-girl-next-door Jane Roberts on the hot reality show L.A. Candy. Now Madison's ready for her turn in the spotlight and she'll stop at nothing to get it. Sure, she's the star of a new show, but with backstabbing friends and suspicios family members trying to bring her down, Madison has her work cut out for her. Plus, there's a new nice girl in reality town - aspiring actress Carmen Curtis, the daughter of Hollywood royalty - and she's a lot more experienced at playing the fame game.. When the cameras start rolling, whose star will shine brighter?''

Rereading L.A. Candy for like the seventh time with my freshly painted ''Mint Candy Apple'' nails.

So today I ordered the second novel of the L.A. Candy spin-off trilogy called ''Starstruck'', and I can't wait until it gets delivered! I'M A PROUD L.A. CANDY ADDICT HELLZ YAH.
Have you read Lauren Conrad's books yet?

Much love, Claire
