Hello lovely readers! Today I came home from a really long day at school and guess what came in the mail?
THE HOLY HALLOWEEN BOX! My mom has been to college in the States and she made a lot of friends there and more than twenty years later she's still in touch with some of them (last January she even went to Las Vegas with two of her best friends from the U.S.A., I was pretty jealous of her). Each year one of those friends she went to Vegas with sends us a box filled with Halloween candy which includes all kinds of sweets and chocolate we don't have here in the Netherlands like Hershey Kisses and bars, Reese's peanut butter cups, candy corn, etcetera, etcetera. So that might clarify why we call it the ''Holy Halloween box''. It's the absolute best!
Candy Corn! The original ones with some even dipped in chocolate and caramel flavored candy corn. Did you know that over 9000 metric tons (9,000,000 kilograms!) of candy corn are sold annually? Crazy, right?
Hershey's chocolate chips in ''special dark'', ''semi-sweet chocolate'' and ''premier white''. There were also a lot of Hershey's chocolate bars in the box so I'm definitely going to make myself some s'mores soon. LOVE.
Peeps! How cute (and delish) are these marshmallows shaped into little ghosts and pumpkins? These are my mom's favorites so she better find a proper place to hide them for me as soon as possible!
Saved the best for the last! Hershey's Reese's! Normally I never eat anything with peanut butter in it, on it, you name it. But for some reason the American peanut butter tastes incredibly good, especially when it's covered in the world's best chocolate.
TRICK OR TREAT!
With love, Claire
(I almost forgot to say that I'm so sorry for the crappy photo's! I don't really know what happened but they didn't really turn out the way I expected them to be, haha)
